Description:
The Antonov AN-225 Mriya (world's largest aircraft) carrying the Russian Space Shuttle Buran landing at the Paris Air show. Without a doubt, this is the heaviest touchdown in aviation history. I don't know what the total landing weight is, but the Mriya itself has a maximum take-off weight of over 1.3 million pounds, whilst a Boeing 747-400ERF, the next closest, has a MTOW of 910,000 pounds.
