Description:
1994 San Marino GP qualifying session, Roland Ratzenberger's Simtek goes off the track, but it seems OK. The driver starts another lap, pushing hard. What he does not know is that the front wing became damaged. It finally breaks off and gets stuck under the front wheels. Being unable to turn, Ratzenberger hits a concrete wall at 315kph and dies on the spot from skull base fracture. 24 hours later, several hundred meters from the same spot, Ayrton Senna crashes… |
