skateboarding rules? ok, its basic...you ride a 4-foot long board, usually made of wood or some other space-age material, it has four small polyurethane wheels on special joints that allow the board to lean in the desired direction chosen by the skater with the shift of his weight in a specific manner, you propel the board by using one foot to kick the ground with the desired effect of motion occuring immediately after, an important skills is learning how to hold your balances and prevent "wipe-outs", a scientific term for...wiping out. Well anyway, the rider can also choose to partake in the exciting stunts and thrills that skateboarding offers to all riders, novice and seasoned. He/she/monkey can do various flips, rolls, and grinds by jumping off the board or shifting his weight suddenly in a controlled motion. This results in the board going wacky/crazy/silly and also in the complete and total amusement of the bystanders, especially when one of these tricks ends up with death
