It doesn't do wonders for your back, either. But a lot of these guys can run 5 or 6 of these competitions without repairing their trucks, so they must be doing something right. |

I've seen these competitions, usualy part of a monster truck show, its pretty neat to see all the stuff guys have built from every 60's 70's and 80's 4x4 imaginable, scouts, willys, broncos, blazers, Jeeps, Toyotas, fun to watch |

Bronco ... II... even more impressive than a normal bronco, specially since these practically roll over on flat ground. |

#6, I used to watch tough truck competitions on Trucks and Tractor Power on TNN, and it was always the same guys running.
I remember an old blue Cherokee that always ran (pre-'84, so it had the Wagoneer style body) that the guy said he pulled out of the woods. It finally flew to pieces on a landing, and from then on they used that scene at the end of the show's credits when they showed the TNN logo. Both front wheels came off, the windshield blew out...pretty spectacular.
Probably the toughest one was a maroon International Scout II that won the contest damn near every time. I saw that truck on the show the first time it ran, and it looked fairly straight (just run-down). For the next year or so, I saw that guy take jump after jump in that thing, roll it at least twice, lose at least one wheel, and it STILL wouldn't die. Eventually it was barely even recognizable, yet every week he was still driving it. |
