#8, I still don't understand where they get off calling that thing a "Monte Carlo". It's rear-wheel-drive, it's got a carbureted 305cid V8 in it... it's got a Ford differential, for god's sake.

Maybe they're 350s. I dunno... I'm far from a NASCAR expert (I'm not even a NASCAR fan... I can't stand to watch oval track racing.)

The manufacturers vary slightly in output, but they put out approx. 710 HP and about 525 lbs.
(I looked it up, I am not a NASCAR fan at all anymore)

Even 305s are better than the Monte's on the street, though. Isn't their biggest engine a 6 now?

nascar stickers on cars - it seems like everytime I see one, it is on a very non-racy vehicle. Astrovans, mazda 626s, etc. Do these people like the racing or the driver worshipping?

Someone in my home town has a Grand Prix painted up to look like Tony Stewart's car..... sponsors and all.
