There's one really good reason for me to like that particular color--it's on my car, so I'm sort of stuck with it!

Only once it's paid-for, and that's far off yet.

Sort of cool, though, that you can get a supercharger for the base model for under $3000 and a nice single turbo for $4000. Hmm...about as many HP as a GT in a car that weighs about 2-300 lb less would be cool.

#12, Yeah. Such a shame that the base model is considered to be a "chick car" and that so many of the owners rice them. They're really fairly quick (NOT FAST) if you get the 5-spd manual transmission (and better yet, it's supposedly a stronger T5 than they used to put in the 5.0s).

Depending on the year, you may actually be right on that count. A stock 302 isn't all that powerful, but it had loads of low-end punch. A modified one on the other hand...

Well, let's just put it this way--a worked 5.0 is possibly one of the cheapest drag cars you could build.

theres an f150 in our auto tech class with a 5 oh in it. i was thinking damn...i bet thats got a good bunch of torque in it. the nice thing about the old GTs and LXs was that the exhaust actually sounded good not wimpy like todays exhausts on the GTs

yeah. i still liked what they did on monster garage with that mustang LX. gutted the exhaust and made em come out the top and to the sides and had the propane shoot through the pipes and light on fire. now that was tight
