Well, let's be realistic here--his Firebird daily driver is black, and most of the GNs I've seen are, too.

What do you use to paint your bodies, Low Tech? I normally use Testors spray paint, but I also have an airbrush kit. It's a pain to set up, though, and an even bigger paint to clean up, so I normally don't use it.

These look like Hot Wheels, so I doubt he'd spray paint them.

Hot wheels? These are model kits.

No, I'm pretty sure that he does these himself from plastic kits.

edit: yeah, what Skid said.

He even said they're models he made when he posted the Firebird yesterday.

I meant they look about the size of Hot Wheels.

I built the same Firebird kit that he did, and it was 1:24. I think it's the perspective of the picture, makes them appear small.

Probably regular 1/24th or 1/25th scale models. They aren't big, and with the right camera angle, they can look teeny.

Yes, they are both 1:24 scale models, the GN came molded in black, but I panted it black anyway to give it gloss, the firebird was cast in white, so I used the same can of paint for it, testors spay paint for the shells, brush paint for the small parts, and genuine auto paint for some of the accessories

Oh, and for doing fine areas, like the "BUICK" crest on the grille, or the black hubs on the rims, a set of paint markers is worth it to invest in, and get special windsheld cement, normal styrene glue will cause clear plastic parts to haze and bubble

CRX - Heres the others I have finished..... The interior on the GN came out blue-grey, despite what it SAID it would come out on the can, but I'm still happy with it
