WTF was up with Meatloaf screaming Bible scriptures during the chase scene?! Or was that another movie I'm thinking of?

#4, No, that's the right one. *shrug* He was a nutty religous fanatic.

This truck also reminds me of a B-movie called Blacktop, which also had Meatloaf in it. That movie blew big ones, and they destroyed a '59 Edsel in it.

"which also had Meatloaf in it."

I have no idea why, but that made me laugh...It's probably cause I'm insane though...

It doesn't get more American than this, the ol' 18 wheeler, we had some Germans stay with us once, they were fascinated by these things, and the more guady they were, with lights, and confederate flags and Yosemite Sam "Back off" mudflaps, etc. the more they liked em'

#8, It's a strange sub-culture, and very American.

Fine, you just HAVE to point out the wonderfully mean looking Aussie Road Trains, don'tcha?

#10, Well, thanks to lawsuits and sutch, you can only tow a maximum of 3 33' or 2 45' trailers in the states, and some places won't even let you do that.... 53' is the standard trailer

Hey, we can't have road trains here. We actually have curves. :P

#7, It's probably because, generally speaking, Meat Loaf doesn't do Citizen Kane.

#11, Got it in one. But get those trucks on the road with no trailer/s they are mighty fast.

#13, And mountains, in the states, sometimes you'll see a big pile of gravel at the bottom of a long mountain road, with a big sign "Runaway truck stop" the idea is if you're rig has lost her brakes, you have to drive it into this big pile of gravel to stop it, crazy huh?

#13, Now I know you are being/trying to be funny. But the road trains can turn just as good as a normal semi, which I thought was rubbish until I saw it.

#17, And we got them too, they are funny. Then you see the tyre marks and you stop laughing.
