#40, Yeah thats the thing, you WANT to race old men in SS commodores when in a sleeper, but with the cop lights in the reverse lights and fog lights you cant pick the buggers. And now the cops even have personalied number plates such as 350 V8 on a yellow monaro. ITS JUST NOT RIGHT! |

#37 They suck ass. FWD, V6, and a cop I talked to says they're a bitch to get in and out of, they're speed-limited to 117mph, and if you go anywhere near that fast, the ass-end wiggles like it's gonna break off. Gets all squirrelly and shit. Why the fuck would you put a speed-limiter on a cop car? Or make it rough to get in and out of... that's half their job! And I stood next to it, for me at 6'2", I'd be bashin' my head on the roof all the damn time. |

#41, Is the street-racing situation in Australia bad enough that that's really necessary? |

#46, Well, yes, but some of it's insane enough that I can't imagine anybody driving it at 20 mph, let alone speeding. |

#45, In Queensland (which is where these cars are and where I live) yes apparently so if you talk to the police. However spending $70 000 on a police car is stupid, more so as the have 6 of them. The 6 unmarked SS commodores I think 2 of them are not really street legal they have been worked that much, they do over 300kmh, and yes the police have done over 300kmh in one chasing a motor bike. |

#46, And really if you dont have neons on your riced out car the cops dont do shit. They are more worred about the 12sec sleepers. |

$70k on cop cars? Wow, they take speedin' seriously. I'd be locked up. That sucks. |

#52, Racing not speeding, they are 'anti-hooning' cars. (no shit thats what they are called) The cars cost about $45-50 000 and the they spend the rest getting them up to speed. Then they have the HSVs thats just a laugh that they can spend that much on a cop car just to get street racers. |

#53, Should've just gotten something like a bunch of old 80's Fox-bodies or something similar that could be made fast for (relatively) cheap. |

#55 Yeah, but findin' them there is like findin' a Holden here. And with the cost to ship it, it'd probably all equal out. |

Well, I know that, but my point is that they've got to have something over there that would serve as a good basis for an extreme build-up. |

#56, Thats about it. And the SS's are cheap enough anyway, they dont want to push it because there WILL and I think have been a few cases of entrapment. |

#57 Commodore's a bad little car in it's own right.... probably right on par with the Stang.
#58 I would imagine that'd be a problem, considering how hard they come down on it and (if the guys I used to hang with were any indication) how prone Australians are to speak up if they think they've been wronged. Very mellow bunch, until you do something to piss them off. |
