#2, Probably. The D-Type was never a production car, they only built the race cars -- so they're pretty frickin' rare.

#3, I do live near L.A., so the chance of it being real are pretty high. I've seen vintage Bugattis on the road as well.

Jaguar DID make a road car which made use of many D-Type components, but, the factory burned down after only a few were produced...all the tooling and stuff was gone...so, Jaguar started from scratch, and came out with the "E-Type".

#5, Yeah, but no one would mistake an XK-SS for a D-Type.

#9, Do you know if they sell Renault Clios (the regular 4 banger FWD ones, not the awesome mid-engined V6 Renaultsport ones) in Mexico? A few years ago, I coulda sworn I saw one driving around Melbourne (Florida, not Australia)

#10, Yes, I have seen regular ones and 172's. Never seen a V6 though. (yes I know Florida :P)

#10, Could be an import... though why you'd go to all that trouble and expense for a Clio is beyond me.

#12, Because they are fun little cars, so I've read. Anyway, with our laws it would be pretty damn hard if not impossible to import one anyway.
