This belongs to an old guy who I met at the laundrymat a while back (yes, I wash my clothes, hehe!)
The guy was on a Navy escort ship that was sunk in WWII. Amazingly he survived. He must have really good luck, because just yesterday, I saw him again and saw a big crunch on his rear bumper. My first instinct was to think that some depressed honda owner decided to end it all by plowing into his truck at top speed. But he said it happened when he was checking his reverse lights. He said he managed to fall out of the truck with it in reverse (important info: no matter how far you lean out the door, you still can't see your reverse lights). The door knocked him on the ground and dragged him for a little bit before cruising across the street and smashing into a parked truck. Poor guy.
Reminded me of the time my brother decided to take me and my sister for a ride in the car. He was 6, my sister was 4 and I was 2. Hehe. |

continued: It was the kind of car you could put in gear without having the key. So he piles us into the car, puts it in neutral, and we roll out the driveway, across the street and into a tree. I think it might have been an Impala. I'll have to see if mom has any photos of it. |

#4, yeah, or back up near (but not into) a big reflective window, or ask someone to watch the lights for you. There must be a hundred ways to do it besides leaning out of the truck with the engine running with the truck in reverse. |

Well, you could always just shift it into reverse, then get out and "ghost ride the whip" by walking around back. Not much better than leaning out, though. |
