a waltzer was a musical insterment (much like an organ 'cept smaller) which was mostly used at carnivals and fairs. It's sound was somewhat synomonius with fair-like things and eventually became a staple at such events. Latter some yoo-hoe decided to make a ride out of it so you can be bounced about while listening to its horrid notes it cranks out.
as soon as i saw the word waltzer - i knew this was bevy of unfolding carnival horrors.
