Here is the production version of the 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. It uses a Mercedes-Benz
3.2L V6 and RWD set-up. The rear-end is also much nicer than the "concept car" version of this car. And in case you're still wondering, Yes, this car IS going into production.

Yeah, looks like a mix between a TT and a PT Cruiser. Especially the grill.

Not bad at all. What kind of horsepower does it have? And how much will it cost? Is this gonna be as good a deal as the Razor?

It's gonna be about $30-35K. Remember, it has a Mercedes drivetrain, that's the reason for the high price.

A rear-wheel-drive Chrysler? I must be dreaming.

I just hope they see a RWD car with the new Hemi soon. Supposedly, they are going to make a 2 door Charger, but it's not been confirmed.

PLEASE, Chrysler, make luxury equipment optional. I want a low base price on an all-business car.

If they put the Charger name on anything other than a rear-drive two-door V8 someone's getting a bomb in the mail.

#12, Sorry Skid, I wouldn't count on it...the engine, transmission, chassis, brakes, and electronics are all Mercedes Benz.

I'm not talking about in this car, I'm talking about with the new Charger. I'm just saying if they're offering a rear wheel drive car again, maybe things are starting to look up.

#15: Chrysler is more a luxury brand than a performance brand, isn't it?

Yup...and Mercedes is just starting to make components of the Chrysler cars now even though they originally said they wouldn't because they thought the Chysler name "would tarnish the Mercedes reputation".

Then why they'd buy it?

What a lot of people overlook is that prior to the merger, Mercedes wasn't in much better shape than Chrysler, financial or quality-wise.
