Description:
Wal-Mart rice, part 2: One bright screaming pink Chevy C/K with a gold hood. The picture doesn't do it justice. Nor does it reveal the rearend "mods": Smooth tailgate skin, dented rear rollpan with tiny "bow-tie" lights, and filled stock lights.

Pink and gold? That's bad. You should've snapped the rear of it too.

#1, Yeah, but this is one of the first ones I snapped, and I figured I would use up my five-picture limit. I would have, if I could have snapped the picture of the metallic pink pimped-up Geo Tracker. But the owner was loading it at the time, and I didn't want to start a bunch of shit by taking a photo of his vehicle while he's present. Not in the mood.

I'm still trying to figure out whether it's a panel-beater or painted gold on purpose. The hood is an unusual part for a panel-beater this new.

I just saw this truck pass by my window just now. Still looks exactly the same.

I saw what could only be this truck in town again a few days ago. Now the whole truck has a new hot pink paintjob, there are blackouts on the top lights to match the lower ones, and it has a new rear roll pan with Corvette ZR-1 style taillights.

There's a guy around here who owned an earlier model Dakota he did a bunch of pretty serious body work to, i.e. molded and shaved tailgate, airbag suspension, sound system etc. He started work on it around the fall of 2004 and I swear that thing remained in primer for over two years. Of course the guy was one of your typical 20 something slacker douchebags who wore his baseball cap every which way on his head and probably bathed in cologne. I saw his ghetto rig at a car cruise last summer, the body had since been sanded and repainted in cheap-o forest green but you could still see every ding and dent under the paint and he was selling it. IIRC he wanted $6500 for it.
