Description:
The engine of my car after installing an upper strut brace and tie bars and steam cleaning. Not bad for an old Volvo inline 4.

#22, hell yeah. And leave it completely stock-looking by widening the stock wheels. Talk about a sleeper.

What is this model, anyway? Can you find them cheap?

#25, Volvo 240s are uber-cheap. There's a nice white '78 240 wagon for sale in Atlanta for $500 (saw it on http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com ).

#25, Its a 200 series. Mine is really rare. You can't find a base modle 2 door anywhere. But 200 series volvos usually go for between $200 (for a beater) to $5000 (show car quality).

Here's a nice 240 2 door for cheap. It's in CA, though.

#28, I'll have to get a car someday. Figure I could do a helluva lot worse than a Volvo.

#29, That looks nice. Too bad its the wrong side of CA. I'm in the Bay Area.

#28, Heh, yeah; like a Honda for instance.

Someone at school was selling a 1989 Pontiac Le Mans for $300. First sign of a true classic car: Triple digit price tag.

#33, Ah, the 80's LeMans. Everybody liked it so much, they gave the Aztek the same roofline :-)

#33, The closest Volvo to you I can find is in Iowa. Good deal, though.

#35, s'OK, I'm not looking for a car right now. I'm just filing things in my "cars to look for later" cabinet.

#35, That is a good deal. You know it has to be in good running condition too. You can flog the shit outta 'em and they still run hard. Believe me, I know. I drive my car a lot harder than I really should. O well, If this engine goes, in comes an old Chevy 350. My friend has one he pulled from his Regal he is willing to part with for nothing. Just needs a little love.

#37, I've jumped mine over dirt-road hills on more than a few occasions. Probably more than I should. It hasn't been extremely reliable, but it's indestructable.

#38, LOL. I want to get into rally racing too, but again, not with this car. This is my street sleeper.
