This is Windows 2000, but it's running geOShell ( www.geoshell.com ), a somewhat hard-to-configure minimalist graphical shell.

#4, Yes, but you have to open up some kind of paint program, and paste it as a new image.

#8, Sorry...but yours is stupid. Minimalist my ass...all it does is make it take longer to navigate...mine is setup for the quickest interface...it ain't pretty, but it works.

#11, That's where you're wrong. I've got a bunch of hotkeys mapped and I can actually make this work more efficiently than the regular Windows Explorer shell.

#12, Minimalize all programs, so all you see is your desktop. Then simply hit the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. (Just right of F12). Open a graphics program, hit "Ctrl V", (That's Ctrl and the letter V at the same time.) Then save it. (I prefer saving things as .gifs, cause they tend to be smaller, even if the color count goes down.)

You see, unlike your desktop, which you have to minimize everything in order to see, I can put ANYTHING I want on one of those bars, either directly, or as a sub-menu, and I can bring it to the front with a single keystroke. It may look counter-intuitive, but it makes it extremely easy to juggle lots of programs.

#13, Meh...whatever...I'm more of a mouse person. Keyboards are for typing...except when it comes to popups, then I use the almighty "Alt F4" trick to close 'em quick.

#14, .png may also work if his paint program supports it AND his desktop doesn't have too many colors.

#18, I suggest NOT using Microsoft Paint...it's very limited, if you have Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop, use one of those instead.
