Description:
'54 Plymouth Savoy and Sniper, a radical custom based on a '54 Savoy with Viper running gear. What the hot-rod magazines never mention is that the car was a near-mint original car before that SOB Trepanier destroyed it.

I'll never understand why hot-rodders pay so much money for nice cars and then completely rebuilld them. If you're going to re-do the whole thing, why not start with a basket-case?

Like I always read in Car Craft: Someone will brag about finding a mint, low-mileage old car, then they drop in a damn crate engine and repaint it. What's the point?

#3, If I won the lottery, I'd take my Capri (a basket-case if there ever was one), and put in as much '93 Mustang Cobra suspension components that I could, put in an '83-93 Mutang hatch (damn you bubble butt hatch!), cram the biggest engine I could in it, but keep it looking pretty much like it does now...

#4, The bubble butt hatch is cool, though.

#4, if you are going to replace pretty much the only thing that makes a capri, why wouldn't you just buy a mustang in the first place?
