When all that's left is one last chance, pray he's still out there, somewhere...

By the way, this is the ORIGINAL Mad Max interceptor. It has been recovered, restored and preserved.

I honestly have to say my favorite line in "Mad Max" is, "That skag, and his floosie, they're gonna die!"

I would, but we already went through our favorite lines on another cars' page. Ah well:

"I'm a fuel injected suicide machine! I'm a rocker, I'm a roller, I'm a RIGHT OUT OF CONTROLLER!"

Exactly. It isn't meant to look good, it's meant to look mean.

Just watched the movie again, and noticed something... doesn't Bubba Zanetti look disturbingly like Eminem? It's really frightening. And did you see the blatant Weiand product placement? I didn't know they did that back in '79!

Other way round with the eminem thing. And product placement has been around since cocky was an egg.

Part the first: you're right, of course. It just sort of jumped out at me. Part the second: huh?

cocky being a cockatoo aussie bird they live for about 90-100 years or so. Hence, "since cocky was an egg" meaning about 100 years ago, or a bloody long time ago. Product placement has been around since at least the 1920s.

Ah. Thanks. It's just funny how every time we see a front view of the Interceptor, it's focussed on the big "WEIAND" on the blower...

Nope, the one I'm talking about is a Holden. I'll see if I can find a pic. Might be hard, since it was on screen for like two seconds, total.
