Those tires are pretty damn close together, and looking through the tail light holes, it looks like its been tubbed. Future drag car?

Basically, it's shortening the rear axle and modifying the underbody/wheel wells of the car so that you can fit really wide tires on the car without having them stick out beyond the fenders.
