After months of playing Vice City, I finally plopped down $15 and picked up my very own copy of III...fun game, seems more serious than VC.

#10, IMO, a great GTA would have liberty city from III, but the gameplay from Vice City(Burnouts, blowing people's heads off, motorcycles, helicopters, more weapons, all the cool little things that weren't in III)

#12, Abso-fucking-lutely.

I've said this before, I like GTAIII better than Vice City... I feel GTAIII, even with its shortcomings, is a more well-put-together game, in the general feel of it... Vice City seems kinda patched together, rushed.

My only problems are in the limited damage model on the vehicles and lack of new places to explore. Maybe Driver 3 (oh, I mean "DRIV3R") will feed my addiction for auto destruction. Supposedly it'll even have bodies that detach from frames, and frames that split in half or wrap around objects during high speed crashes.

#14, It's a tenuous line, if you make it all "eye candy" damage, there's no reason to even try to avoid accidents, but if you make it too real, you kill the fun because you can't make it a block without being trashed by the cops....

#15, That's why you have realistic crashes, but engines that won't quit and wheels that don't detach. You could have a huge chase and your car would end up like Roscoe P. Coltrane's cruiser at the end. :P

Hehe, i've been recording "quarter mile" times in GTAIII recently (the tunnel under st. marks is .27 miles) using a stop watch. Quickest times is the cheetah at 12.43, slowest is the mule at 17.76 (the dodo is probably slower but I can't get it to go down the tunnel with ramming into the sides). Biggest surprise is the ambulance (we like to call it "Amby the happy bambalance") at 12.83
