Just cut an old car hood in half and duct tape it under there. Hell, use the hood from this one. The engine will run cooler!

They were very small and very light.

The 6 cylinder models weren't slouches, really, I remember my half brother's junkyard-rebuilt '75 coupe as being something of a mover.
