72's are the rarest of all camaros, fuel prices and a soft economy as well as a long strike by workers at the F-body plant kept production way down.....

Cool, it's a Z28 too. No split bumper and not a great color, but that's ok. I could get it painted.

This particular generation of Camaro is the only one I don't like the styling of much at all.

#6, That's a great example. However, I just don't like the way the front end looks, with the big grille and little round headlights off to the side. Just looks awkward to me, and the late 2nd-gens are even uglier.

#1, I was reading about that just now. Apparently total F-body production for '72 was 68,651 Camaros and 29,951 Firebirds.

The most common year, for no apparent reason, was 1979, with 282,571 Camaros and 211,453 Firebirds.

This is actually my favorite generation of Camero. However, like everyone else, I do prefer the split bumper as well.

#11, Since then, the rarest year has now become 2021, with 21,853 sold.

1972 is now the ninth rarest year, behind 2021, 2022, 2023, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2009, and 2017...in that order.

I can't find any data for 2024s, I suppose because they're still technically selling them.

#17, 2024 may end up being the lowest selling year, considering they ended production back in December.

NASCAR has stated they'll allow Chevrolet to run the Camaro body for 3 years past the end of production.

What the hell is Chevy going to run after that? A bespoke-styled car that borrows styling cues from their crossovers? Would NASCAR let them do that?
