72's are the rarest of all camaros, fuel prices and a soft economy as well as a long strike by workers at the F-body plant kept production way down.....

This is one of my dream Camaros. Same color and all.

Cool, it's a Z28 too. No split bumper and not a great color, but that's ok. I could get it painted.

This particular generation of Camaro is the only one I don't like the styling of much at all.

#6, That's a great example. However, I just don't like the way the front end looks, with the big grille and little round headlights off to the side. Just looks awkward to me, and the late 2nd-gens are even uglier.

#1, I was reading about that just now. Apparently total F-body production for '72 was 68,651 Camaros and 29,951 Firebirds.

The most common year, for no apparent reason, was 1979, with 282,571 Camaros and 211,453 Firebirds.

This is actually my favorite generation of Camero. However, like everyone else, I do prefer the split bumper as well.
