My mom's '95 Ford Explorer V6. Too bad about the shaddow in the picture, I would have made this a photoshop contest. I'll try to get a better shot next time I go home.

I embarassed a Civic hatchback this last weekend in this. It was dropped with a fart cannon and sounded like it had a turbo. I killed him off the line, and he started to catch up until he shifted and fell back another car length. He seemed a little pissed.

Just curious, but how is this at all rice? It has the Eddie Bauer trim, but that is stock trim for the sport package. It isn't ground effects. I just want to know what is at all rice about this to justify the 3.50.

#3, I see. However, unlike most people, we use this 4WD brute for what it was meant for. We haul stuff and thrash it off-road. It also has the ability to plow through 4 feet of snow and come out smelling like a rose. (actually it smelled like shit, but you get the point.)

#4, I have no idea why, but I have beaten a V6 mustang once in this too. I don't know why, so don't ask, but it is a lot faster than most V6s. And besides, civics, even when turbo charged, are not fast.

#10, Just so you know, in both races, they were off the line at a stop light. The mustang race continued onto the freeway where our speed limiters capped both of us off at 110.

#14, It was pretty fun. But the Explorer is downright scary above 100mph. I didn't hold it for long. I had a good laugh with the other driver and we went our separate ways.

#16, Good idea. It's also good to make sure that you know that you can control your car and are more than familiar with it's abilities before trying high speeds.
