Description:
The ricer friend i know informed me that his dad's new mazda 6 came with a roll cage.
I told him so does my car. In fact - last i checked - every car (minus convertibles) must have a roll cage by law.
This must have bothered him. It seems to me that he thought that a roll cage must mean the car is capible of fantasic speeds and should not be taken lightly. |

It is really considered a rollcage or just structural support? I think of rollcages as additional reinforcement above the car's original structure. (like the above pic) |

#1, Yeah, I was under that impression as well. EVERY new car has a roof structure designed to not collapse in a rollover. A "roll cage" is usually made of steel tubing and goes underneath that roof structure to provide additional safety, although it carries a lot of extra weight with it. |
