Description:
This is my Volvo drifting last Saturday. I have dubbed that day D-day (drift day), because I must have done at least 30-40 drifts trying to get a good picture. That doesn't include the 10 donuts I also did. This is the only one that kinda came out.

Note the lack of body roll. Thats the result of some nice sway-bars, good gas shocks, and some chassis braces. :-)

Hey, Biohazard, do you mind if I replace this picture with one I can actually see? This looks rather dark on my monitor, but I copied it into a photo editor and boosted the brightness/contrast and it looks better.

There. Just refresh to reload the pic. That's about as far as I could take it before the colors started looking really nasty.

#6, $1 family sedan actually. The only reason I'm tuning this thing is, I need something faster, my parents won't let me park another car in the driveway, and I am never getting rid of this car. I grew up in this thing.

I don't think anyone out side of race teams need something faster, but we all want something faster

why would there be body roll when you're drifting?

You raise an interesting point. I can't honestly say that I had thought of that. It doesn't roll at all during normal cornering anyway.

Figured this would be a good place to post a "kill" story:

Over the summer, I got in a stop light race with a really ugly Civic. He started revving on me so I did likewise. At the green light, I got the jump on him. As I started leaving him, I heard the distinct sound of nitrous being released into his poor over-worked engine. I hear the tires chirp and the engine rev higher. (sounded like a swarm of angry bees) It took him 3 shifts to finally pass me. I considire that a loss on his part. After all, my car is mostly stock and it weighs over 4000 pounds.

#15, At the next light, I proceeded to inform him that my Volvo was stock. He seemed a little pissed. What a loser.
