Description:
This is something like what the custom logo will look like on my next car. Why would I do something like this? Hint; think of what symbols make up this logo and then think of what kind of car a mix of these logos would result in.

An SBC in a Volvo would be nice, but I think something by Ford would probably be more appropriate.

I'd stick an LS1 in a Mustang and see how many people I could piss off.

I was thinking more along the lines of a twin-turbo LS6 tuned by lingenfelter. The suspension will also be a fully custom fabricated C5 suspension welded in. The whole interior will be stripped while the exterior still looks completely stock, with the stock wheels being widened and rear-end tubbed. Should be able to run with Lingenfelter Vettes and still handle good, all while still looking like a stock 80s volvo.

the f-body fan boys would hate it because it's a mustang, the mustang fanboys would hate it because of the LS1, and the econobox fanboys would hate it because it's a hybrid dumbestic V8 gas hound :P

#7, But on the upside, it would have a real pushrod V8, something the current Mustangs are sadly lacking.

#3, Since I'm doing an entire driveline swap anyway, I figured I might as well go with something with a little more potential.

#11, Which I actually prefer over the 4.6. Both of the 3.8s I've owned have run just fine; the most they've needed replaced were accessories and a couple of seals (valvecover gaskets on the Thunderbird were leaky when we picked it up, plus the rear main seal and the water pump). I don't think as highly of the 4.6, just based on what I've heard and seen.

I wonder if it's possible to build a 300 (flywheel) hp N/A 3.8? There are a couple dyno plots of N/A cars making 220 at the wheels (~250 at the crank?), and there are still a few mods left that could've been made.

Wonder where it would be with a milled head (stock compression is 9.3:1; you could go higher), roller rockers, and a wilder cam.

i mean, they come with 200hp stock, with shitty factory-everything, it might get expensive, but you should be able to get 300hp

#16, Would be an interesting thing to try. The heads would be best done professionally (there's too much stuff you can screw up), and obviously you'd have to have a cam ground for you, but some people have gotten a pretty decent port&polish out of the intake using hand tools... (well, actually Dremel)
