I've actually watched North Korean television livestreams very early in the morning.
It's utterly maddening....TV newscasters just repeat the same propaganda over and over, read stories directly from the newspaper, everything stops every 10 minutes to play North Korean music over scenery, images of King Jong Un, and the Juche horse monument. A couple of times a day, they air a "documentary" (something about new household items available for purchase, a visit to a children's ward at a hospital to talk about the glorious state of healthcare, etc.), then later in the day they might show an actual TV program.....usually a kid's cartoon, a family drama, or a comedy variety show where all the performers wear military uniforms.
The only thing that makes it entertaining? The livestream chat riffing it, MST3K style.
