#4, The army uses a completely different style of hitch and trailer than the rest of the "civilain" world, the H1 was designed to use pintle hitches, (like railroad couplers) not ball hitches, and the typical millitary trailer is built with more ground clearance and higher deck, so to even be able to pull a "civie" trailer, the H1 needs retrofitted, so yes, buying one JUST for towing is stupid when you can get a ball-hitch equipped F series or Ram or Silverado or Titan or whatever a LOT cheaper

as this appears to be, you know not america, I'd question the availability of a hd ram, silverado or superduty.

They don't make hummers in Europe, it would have to be imported, so would ANY light truck of any towing capacity, as the 1/2 and 3/4 ton pickup is a uniquely american thing

I figured hummers weren't widely available although it seems the H3 will be available, but I can see them being imported more than I see super duties and their ilk being imported.
