Description:
August 23 2003

The 2004 Saab 9-2 (or the 2004 Saabaru Impreza Hatchback). But this can't be all that bad -it has Subaru's AWD - and Saab's Turbo's along with a Hatchback that Saab's have always had (or did until recently).

This is the Subaru WRX-based Saab? Where's the hoodscoop? Ever OTHER image I've seen of the "Saabaru" has had a hood scoop.

*pulls out Car & Driver issue*
*looks at REAL Saab 9-2X*

Nope, this ain't a 9-2X, has a completely different front end. This is a 9-5, IIRC.

#4, But the rear end is identical, look at the C pillar, it's a Subaru sport wagon.

#5, Ok, this image is really fucking pissing me off. I've done some research, and it STILL is not a 9-2X, but it's not a 9-5 either (that's my bad)... it has the front end of a 9-3, but there is NO 9-3 wagon...this is a photoshop. (of a WRX wagon, I'm guessing) Also, this is missing the side skirts that Saab added for the 9-2x rebadging.

THIS is the real 9-2x: http://9-2x.saabusa.com/images/ext1.jpg
THIS is a 9-3, of which the front end of this image is taken from: http://www.saabusa.com/main/US/en/i.../93S_ext_17.jpg

What tripped me up is that the 9-5 wagon has similar styling on the side windows... http://www.saabusa.com/main/US/en/i...W/95w_ext_8.jpg
I'm ending my involvement in this thread. I KNEW it wasn't a real 9-2x when I didn't see the hoodscoop.
I'm changing the category, and that will be that.
