Description:
A mini with a 150 hp Honda engine? You think that is a perfect combination for a joke?

Well check out this video of the above car running a lap at the Nurburgring and shaming a lot of very serious machinery.

I've seen the RingMini videos before (I think they were posted in Linkage). The car is pretty quick because it is so lightweight, but most of its advantage lies in its ability to run in on heavier cars through braking sections--since it weighs so little, the driver can pick a far later braking point.

#6, If the track didn't have such long straightaways, the Mini would definitely have the advantage, though. Would probably be a good car to take autocrossing. :-)

I think I've also seen a similar video with a Lotus Elise 190 chasing a 'Vette. Same story--the Lotus always ran in on the 'Vette really well during the low-speed sections of the Nurburgring, but the Lotus couldn't match the 'Vette as soon as they got to the long straights.

#10, I'd say that's a driver in need of more power, being fast in turns does no good if you get passed again on the straight and it goes the other way too.
