Love these. I never thought a 4000+ pound car could stop that fast.

2 votes of 10? Why the hell is this bad? These are the best brakes money can buy for a 240 Volvo.

I would venture a guess that people don't like the goofy design

*raises one eyebrow*

i fail to see how these are better than normal rotors other than the fact that they have those star....things in them

#5, They are slotted. (keeps the brake surface clean by sweeping away brake dust) Plus, they are friggin huge.

#8, i see... the size of them would explain the stopping power.

OOH!!! STORY TIME!!!

well....at work some soccer mom lady brought her van in and asked us to change the oil and check the brakes. well...the oil that came out had never been changed except for maybe...once (the van was about 10 years old with 80,000 miles so it was basically sludge) and when we saw the brakes we absolutely freaked. the outside of the rotor had worn away revealing the slots inside. we showed her this. she said "oh...that would explain why whenever i stepped on the brake it started to thump and there was a clicking sound. i thought it was just the wheels slowing down" or something like that. anyways...she asked if they needed to be replaced so my boss put on his best "well no shit sherlock" face and said yes.

ugh...the way people treat their cars as if they're maintanence free sickens me >_<

#10, alrighty then.

i just figured that if your brakes were slotted they would look more like racing brakes (without the drilled holes though)

Cool, I can get six-piston calipers (for the front only, no less!) for only $1200. :-P

My Brick needs new rotors. My front ones are slightly warped and the car lurches when I hit the brakes. :(

But I'm saving up money to trade it off, anyway, so I don't guess I'll worry about it.
