For those non-NASCAR fans, this is Elliott Sadler's car, and this happened today when he got into the front bumper of Kurt Busch, spun around, got airborne, landed upside down, skidded for about 300 feet, hit the track, and flipped about 5 times, landing on the wheels.

He was alright.

#3, Well...they're still steel-body, steel-tube-frame, and designed to be able to take a beating and keep on going. Still have Iron block V8s, Ford 9" rear ends...

I saw that live, I was like awsome. That'd been even better if it landed on it's tires and kept going...but then I relized that the impact would bend everything in the car...but I can dream damn it!!

#6, Actualy, when Dale Earnhard flipped his car at Daytona back in 97' or whatever, it rolled back onto it's wheels and he went on to finish the race with a mashed-in roof, that was pretty surreal

I watched the last 10 laps of the race (I would've fallen asleep if I tried to watch the whole race) and that was a pretty scary sight to see. The part that made me cringe was that he was rolling on asphalt. That's USUALLY done on the grass.

Sadler's obviously spent too much time playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater. "Check it out, guys, 540 Corkscrew!"

#16, Like the random comments on Adult Swim. "Some people are alive simply because it is illegal to kill them."

...same race, but one year later, and Elliott Sadler does the SAME FUCKING THING! :P

...but it wasn't as bad this time...this time, it was on the last lap coming to the finish line, the car didn't flip completely over, and it landed back on its wheels just when he crossed the finish line... he got a 22nd place finish on the lead lap.
