Friend of mine once had a Dodge Shadow (just a regular 2 door coupe). I guess it was supposed to be some maroon color, but the car was old enough that the paint had turned to sort of a poop brown. The car was a piece of crap, though--it spent a lot of its time sidelined due to various problems. At one point, part of the heating/cooling system failed and water started leaking into the cabin in fairly large amounts, too.

He eventually got rid of it, bought a 2000 Mustang GT. We wound up driving it through floodwater one time (not through choice, but it happened..) and the car acted up ever since. Had tons of engine-related problems--it would stumble under acceleration and do all kinds of weird stuff.

He now has a 2001 Cobra. Talk about moving up.

BDAYCAR = Birthday Car?

If that was a birthday gift, he should assume the giver doesn't like him.

#5, Bah...as much as I hate them, a Civic would be nice right about now... I need efficiency, I need reliability, and I couldn't care less about performance right now. Hell, even a base used Civic would be faster than my 88hp Capri.

That was a joke, DiRFY-boy.

A better solution would be a 302 swap. :)

#1, I've been going up (mostly in baby steps). Started with a loaded V6 Corsica, then went to a 95 Camaro V6 with not many options. Went to a loaded 95 Lumina LS with all options, then a loaded 95 Camaro V6. Then a loaded 95 Z28 with the LT1 and now a low mileage 98 Z28 with the LS1. :)

Its a turbo 2.5L. It is the 2.5L turbo1 engine with an intercooler added. This car is no joke; too bad you guys wont admit it.
