I don't know if I've progressed or not:

1984 Camaro Berlinetta, very good condition with 105k miles.
1985 Volvo 244 GL, good condition with 110k chassis and ~80k engine.
1986 Peugeot 505 STi, fair condition with ~250k chassis and unknown engine.

"My" other cars were actually my parents', but I drove them most of the time and did the maintenence on them, so they might as well have been mine.

1972 Oldsmobile Delta 88, good condition apart from needing some bodywork, 72k.
1980 Datsun 280ZX w. turbo engine transplant, total beater with bent frame and good engine, unknown mileage.
1978 Dodge Aspen, good condition apart from some rust, 96k.

mw wife's list is real short :
'80 Honda Civic Wagon CVCC (worst piece of shit)
'84 VW Rabbit GTi - fun and fast(ish) - piece of shit
then she started to get my handme - downs (Saturn SL, Honda Accord, my Truck, then my altima)

then we had a kid, and now she gets the best... poo!

ok, since you did it, here's my wife's list:

'87 Oldsmobile Calais (POS)
'98 Chev. Cavalier (bought new)
'00 Pont. Sunfire (bought new)

She's spoiled with the new cars. At least she's sticking with domestics, all GMs actually until she bribes me into buying her a nw Mustang.

#29, we've agreed to buy no new cars... or ever get another car loan - just stick to fun cars that we can buy for cash... I might change my mind after a few years of getting greasy fixing a fleet of beatup cars...

these were quite fast and powerful for their time so they have my respect. still quite fast and powerful for a car it's size
"In the engine bay was yet another Turbo II which had been converted from a Turbo I at Shelby's plant (seen below). This engine was identical to that in the Shelby GLHS cars and it produced the same 175 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. As installed in the CSX it returned performace of 0-60 in 7.0 seconds, ET of 15.4 seconds, and a top speed of 131 mph"

#3, Now I've moved slightly up...

1995 Mirage 145k miles.... it's not as fun as the Capri to drive, but at least I know it'll start up in the morning. Still no radio, but the A/C is freaking ICE COLD... (The Capri didn't even have a working ventilation system.)

I've been riding a wave
1983 Cavalier, Wagon looked like crap at first glance but it really wasn't in that bad of shape, just had a lot of little things wrong with it, don't remember the miles but the engine had just been rebuilt
1990 Mustang, above fair when I got it, everything still worked, ~120k miles
1984 Mark VII, full blown beater but it starts everytime no problem. unknown miles
1993 Mark VIII, about on par with the stang when I got it, its just a little bit on the nicer side, 128k
(I'm not counting the MX-6 since it has yet to move and when it does its going to my mom)

#34, You're gonna repair the MX-6 and give it to your mom? Cool, that's very nice of you.

...and I didn't know you had a Mark VIII...

#35, shit I'm not giving it to her, she's giving me the $400 I have in it, then paying for the parts. I'm not that nice but I am passing up a chance to make a nice little profit on the the car. I got the Mark VIII a little over a month ago. still need to get around to getting pictures of it though
