How fast was it... you refer to it as a "street car", did you actually race it at the track?

I'm having visions of an injected 454, 700R4 tranny, and various Impala SS suspension bits, while retaining this same appearance on the outside.

Oh yeah, and baffles on the mufflers. Keep everything real quiet. Shhhh....

And dress like a funny old man while driving it. Perhaps wearing a hat with earflaps or something.

#11, From my experience, funeral homes use hearses, Coroners use plain-jane cars for their needs.

#12, Yep, his was the same year, same model, was just deep navy blue, and said "CORONER" on the gate

#13, I think that is, or was, the standard livery for a coroner's car... dark blue with "CORONER" written on the back, usually in yellow, IIRC... I've seen coroner station wagons and vans in my life.

#14, GM seems to offer 3 basic colors for civic fleet vehicles (unmarked cop cars, coroners cars, non-work vehicles) White, Dark Blue and Burgandy Rarely see any other than that

The side door looks dented. This car does not look like it is in very good condition.
