I was looking at a 71 Stang a few months ago. It had a decent body, no engine/tranny. For $800, it would've made a decent project until I noticed that the frame was bent a little. Oh well. :( |

#14, I'm planning on painting mine sometime near Christmas. I'm going with a darker metallic red and matte black combo. I'm not sure how I want to incorporate the black, but I was thinking a wide stripe down the center of the hood. Just trying to keep it from looking like a Mopar or Ford that makes it kinda hard and I don't really like the usual racing stripes on the G-Body El Caminos. We'll see though. |

#7, oh wow, thats interesting...im 19 too, and i owned a 1987 elky ss for a couple of years, and i was known for my cars in school as well, first for the ss, and second for having the first new se-r in town, and my girl graduated a year after me as well, and people still remember me as the kid who drove a tan car with a bed |

#24, Funny, ain't it? The Camino didn't get much notice at school, but I did all the beefing up after I graduated. |

#26, Right on. I'll have to snap a picture of it in it's current form. Like I said, I've dropped the front end 2 inches and added 15in. Cragar Street Stars. You might change your mind. ;-) |

#28, Thanks, I did the renderings for a friend in Vegas who is building the car. The body kit was designed by a designer named John McBride, who is also very talented, so I can't take all the credit on this one.
As for the Chevelle, I need to post some pictures of what it looks like now, I just came in from the garage after tearing the 355 motor and tranny out with my dad. We took off the entire front clip yesterday. Gonna detail and paint the engine compartment, redo the suspension and brakes, and the swap out the motor.
Hehe, can you say BIG BLOCK?
Just bought a 468 from a local speed shop that I worked with on a SEMA 04 project. Can't wait to get back on the streets with that between the fenders! I aim to be putting out around 435-500 hp and 500-600tq. We'll see. |
