Quote from "The Cannonball Run":

JJ McClure (Burt Reynolds): "We need a car to run in this race..."
Victor (Dom DeLuise): "I know! How about a black Trans Am!"
JJ McClure: "Nah, it's been done before..."

I love that line...

-I dunno, but it was doing 130

- Who was that?
- Must've been the representative of the National Safety Council!

The car Jackie Chan and that other Japanese guy were driving was a Subaru AWD hatchback...I forget exactly what kind though...

I have the Cannonball Run on Video, and watch it every now and again...

Oh yeah, I also love the line right before the "I dunno, but it..." where the Subaru's sensors pick up the radar trap, and the other Japanese guy says, "Look! A Kojak with a Kodak!", then they turn off the headlights, and just say "Bye bye" when they fly by the cops.

2 of my favorite things..... a second-gen. T/A and airplanes. But Low-Tech, you should be slapped for the description.

I also like the scene in Cannonball Run where Jackie Chan is driving, the other Japanese guy is asleep, and Jackie loads a porno tape into the video player...nearly runs off the road, waking up the other guy who takes the tape and tosses it out the window...

...then they proceed to scream at each other in rapid-fire-action Japanese...
