Here you go, DiRF: the second time I've made your car 7y73. But this one is better than the last one.

Eh, it's crappy work...but, I thought some new wheels, a targa top, and removal of the bubble-butt were in order.

#9, The wheels look good (I see you converted to 5 lugs).

The targa also looks interesting. Fits the bodystyle well.

#10, Now that I look at it, the rear-end looks horrible...looks 2D whereas the rest of the car has depth... but DAMMIT, if I was gonna photoshop my car, I was gonna obliterate that galdarn bubble butt.

[edit] Oh yeah, the wheels are from a '68 Charger...dunno how I'd make that work in real life, but I thought they were beefy looking wheels, and I liked the white-letter tires.

#11, I dunno why that bothers you so much. It looks fine to me.

#12, Aren't I allowed to be bothered by something extremely trivial?

Anywho, I read somewhere that the bubble-window on the back (started with the '83) was the largest [at the time] piece of curved glass that FoMoCo had ever put on a production car.

I guess it looks alright, but when I see the hatch on a fastback fox-body Stang of similar age, mine just looks well...bulbous and unsporty.

#13, Isn't your whole car unsporty?

*runs*

Nah, seriously it might look better with the Mustang hatch.

#14, I was thinking of heading to a junkyard in search of a fastback Stang hatch, but the more I look at it, the more I doubt it would fit...I think the curves of where the hatch and body meet up are different.

#15, Oh darn. Well it looks like you just have to settle for 'Stang fastback running gear. ;)

#16, Oh yes... :D

All I have to do is find someone who'll give me some and install it for me for free, and I'll be set! :P

#17, Given that your car is a daily driver, have you ever considered a V6 swap (later on, I mean)? Could be cheaper than a V8 swap (seeing as how 6 banger Fox bodies are everywhere and nobody wants them), but it would surely be more drivable than the "Iron Duke".

#18, When I get my AA degree after this coming semester, *you better be sitting down...not* I'm dumping the Capri, and my mom has told me that the present for getting the AA degree will be a used compact car (one with ~25-35mpg) for ~$1500-$2000. Because I'll be commuting to UCF to finish up my bachelor's degree (I'll schedule classes for only Tuesdays and Thursdays so I only have to commute twice a week). The commute will be ~1 hour each way...which I'm used to, as I used to drive 40-60 minutes each way when I was commuting to Penn State Abington EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK in the Cavalier.
