Description:
Methinks the top heads at GM back in the 70's on to the 80's we're really pushing for a mid-engined Corvette.

- and not just a mid-engined Corvette - but a 4 Rotor 420hp "Super Wankel" mid-engined Corvette (made from 2 experimental rotory engines bolted together).

The now forgotten 1973 XP-882 concept.

Yep GM was planning to introduce a rotary engine in the mid-70s. The Pacer was originally going to use it, but then GM cancelled the project leaving them to shoehorn a straight 6 in there and make it RWD (it was supposed to be FWD)

#7, Which is why they had to widen the car to accept the driveshaft and differential. But of course you knew that already :P
