I highly doubt a police department would have a V6 Camaro.

1) The Police Package Camaro is only offered as a V8
2) The only reason to buy a car as impractical as a Camaro would be for it being a fast as hell V8 Camaro.
3) If they didn't care about high-performance, they woulda gotten a Crown Vic or a Tahoe, not a V6 Camaro.

#2, Exactly. What makes you so sure it's a V6? All B4C Camaros (Z28 with cop package) have no Z28 emblems and body color roofs. 93-97 B4C Camaros (like this one) have LT1s in them just like the Z28 does.

but how do you all know that this is a cop package camaro?

The RCMP are cheap enough to buy base model camaro's.

#4, I think I would assume it was before I assumed it wasn't.

#4, What would the point be to have a V6 Camaro cop car....

You'd think they'd want something fast, I can't imagine them buying a V6.

anyway, i agree that a V6 camaro would be pointless for a police department, since the only thing they use camaros for is chasing down highway speeders, and a V6 is useless for that

#13, i guess a 3.8 camaro would still be faster than a crown vic tho

Maine at one point had bought 8 of these. I'm not sure why only 8. To my knowledge only 6 made it past the first month without being wrecked. and from what I had heard only 2 or 3 made it to the end of their service dates without being wrecked. What a great drivers training program we must have for our state police.
