Why do I love Japanese cars from this era SO MUCH? Is it the tidy, "nothing wasted" proportions? Is it the way they took a hybrid of American and European styling and simply "shrunk it" effectively?

Maybe the fact that the headlights, which are a fixed size, look so much bigger on a small car, it just makes 'em cuter?

I have an interest in Japanese cars of this era mainly for their rarity and how under-appreciated they are. A few of my own favorites are the Nissan 230 Cedric and Gloria, the Toyota Crown S50, the Mazda Luce Legato, the Nissan President, Toyota Century, and Mitsubishi Debonair.

#13, Still my favorites, although now I'd add the Datsun Cherry E10, The Datsun 710/Violet 710, and all RWD Toyota Celicas.
