one side of the tails is the 92-93 style and the other side is the 90-91 style?

OK!!!

*drumroll*

Well, its a 90-91, and the tail lights are shaped like 90-91, but the colors are switched, 92-93 style. (screw it im just saying 91 OR 90 and 92 OR 93 from now on) But on 90s, the turn signals/reverse lights are on top of the actual brake lights, and also they go all the way into the license plate..area. 92s' lights dont even touch that area, theres quite a bit of space between the tail lights and the plate housing. Also on the 92s, the signals/reverse lights are below the brake lights.

90/91-http://images.cardomain.com/member_...412_18_full.jpg (kit but you still get teh stock tails)

But now Im confused, Ive seen pics of supposed 92s with these tail lights... Im really confused... cuz mine are like the pic I posted...and so are/were chessboxers...

i think that some of the 92-93 coupes have these tail lights. thats why some people do the trunk swap even on 92 and 93's. but the 92-93 sedans have the tail lights like mine. mine dont go all the way to the license plate and have that little bit of space there. im guessing thats the explanation here.

I was lookin at cardomain and all the SEs had lights like these, some of the EXs too. My only confusio is: why?

#12, i dont know why either, maybe it was one of those changes that came halfway through the year, like the 92.5's and 93's have the lights like mine. they probably flipped the lights like here, and then decided to shorten them up a little bit with them still flipped like here. thats my guesstimation of what happened.

Ok, Im gonna do a little research here. a = lights go all the way across, b = like mine, with space between the plat holder and the lights.
As we know now, all 90-91 lights go all the say across to the license plate holders and have the amber above the red. According to edmunds, there are no 92 SEs, just DX/LX/EX, 93 has those three but the SE is the highest trim level for that year.
92 EX Coupe - a
92 LX Coupe - a
92 EX Sedan - b
92 LX Sedan - b
93 EX Coupe - a
93 EX Sedan - b
Looks like it was just the coupes with the lights like they were.

glad you got it all figured out, and on a side note, i wish i had gotten the rims on this one instead of the ones on mine.
