#3, I dunno, a Civic hatch with an H22 isn't bad, and I'm guessing it'd be at a huge weight advantage.

#4, Not by much. These things are much more well-balanced weight wise. So they can handle a lot better. And dont forget, they are RWD.

And people have gotten the turbo models up over 300hp and they are still reliable hitting high 13s street legal.

Not too bad, then.
edit: Although "street legal" 13's are kind of silly--streetable 13's are obviously more desirable, and there is a difference.
