#1, what the hell was the insurance company going to pay you for a 13-inch tv, a gpx radio, and a snes? 12 or 13 dollars?

then i bought an amd k6 500mhz upgrade, and went up to 288 megs of ram and a 32 meg video card, and it hardly made a difference, duno why, and now i have a 2.4ghz p4 laptop, big step up, huh

233 is the minimum, but It doesn't matter since anyone still running a 233mhz proccesor has bigger computer problems.

#22, 380 to 500 isn't a big enough jump to notice much of a change.

#24, yeah but i went from 64 to like 288mb of ram, that should have made a significant difference

what do you guys run right now?

i have a toshiba satellite with a 2.4ghz p4, 512mb of ram, 40gb drive, and a 32-meg ati radeon card

i hate the fact that you really cant upgrade a laptop besides doubling the ram, some laptops actually have those removeable drive bays where you can put an extra hd in or another battery, but mine doesnt

i hate you all :p. if i but all 11 comps together, y'all better look out! i wish i had more money. then i would invest in a sweet laptop, but alcoholism, a huge record collection, exorbitant university parking fees, and a trip to ireland eat my funds like a fat man eats a double big mac meal supersized. and don't forget a above average dvd collection and frivoless spending. and that lemon fleetwood. i really need to be a millionaire.

sheesh - I've got the stripped down PC - 1.0gHz OCed to 1.6gHz (AMD), with a Navidia 64MB video card, 20gig hard drive, 256 Ram, and a 32 (or 36?) CD-RW drive. All inside an old HP Brio case I pulled from a company we just bought.

It's not the fastest thing on wheels, but I can play Call of Duty with only minor clipping during the intense graphic parts

Athalon XP 2800+, 512, 120, 64 MB geforce 4.
Soon it's going to be time to build an AMD 64, need to wait for PCI express to become a little more common though.

#21, Well, gee, when a huge fucking hurricane is bearing down on your area, and you only have about a half-day to evacuate (We had just been given the day off from school to evacuate), you really don't have time to decide what's important, and what's not, so we just took pictures of everything.

...I don't even know why I bother replying to you. All you ever do is make unfunny smartass replies to everyone.

Right now our main PC is running a P4 3.0GHZ with 1024mb of RAM, 80 gig HD, GeForce 5700 w/256mb 48x CDRW and a 16x DVD drive, as for the backup e-machines we have it's a Athlon 2400+ with 120 gig hd, 512mb of RAM, some crappy integrated Geforce 4MX graphics chip and your standard CDRW and DVD drive. We also have 2 laptops. One's a Dell running a P4 2.4ghz and the other a crappy Compaq running a 1.0ghz Athlon which seems to lockup whenever it wants to.
