Little bastards. Those things are evil around here. The ones we have here are the size of 2 basketballs and have what appears to be 2 inch claws. They will hiss at you if you come within 10 feet of them and fear nothing.

I used to have a pet raccoon. Cute lil' bugger, and smart, but he was kinda mean sometimes. Didn't like to be picked up.

My grandma started feeding the raccoons around her house, now she buys them stuff at the grocery store, even cooks for them, they all weigh about 200 lbs because of it...

According to her, they like oreo cookies... a lot.......

I used to feed mine cookies a lot, but I don't remember if I ever game him Oreos.

I do remember giving him Kool Aid Bursts (Kool Aid in squeeze bottles, I don't know if they even still sell it). He's roll onto his back and grasp the bottle with all four feet when he drank them.

No raccoons here on the island...we only got squirrels and lizards. I've seen a few raccoons on the mainland though, along with other assorted small-mammal-wildlife.

There were a couple raccoons on my paper route, both were fairly large. One time I approached one and it took him 2 minutes to scramble up a tree. I named them Rufus and Jimbo
