For GM to grab $55K a pop for each one of these faux-Hummers from soccer moms. It's all about money.

Makes sense... how else could they make 55-60 large off a Suburban?

By making it look like a Hummer...hence, the monstrosity before you.

Scale it down to 1/10th size, make it run on AA's and I think you've got a winner for the kids, but come on! A full-size car??? Has Tonka styling infected Chevy too? It already got to the Ram

One question: will they still make the REAL Hummer? If not, I'm going to be sad.

Yep, the real Hummer will continue unchanged except for the name. From now on, it'll be called the H1. So hope isn't completely lost.

The original Hummer wasn't SMOOTH enough for those mamby-pamby types who don't go offroad. People, if you don't want to go off-road, DON'T BUY AN OFF-ROAD VEHICLE!

If one of the yuppies in my neighborhood buys one of these, I'm gonna get a bazooka and... well, use your imagination.

man, no-body that drives a hummer goes off-roading, because they're so expensive. What's the point in buying a 60k vehicle that can drive right over a 3 foot wall if you're not gonna use it?

Some of them do. But I'd wager that most don't, at least.

There's a head doctor at a hospital near me that has two Hummers, and he takes them off road.

Yeah well he has a spare so thats a little different. Over here at least they arent that good for an off roader because they are too wide. They just dont fit on our 4x4 tracks.

If I was off-roading, I'd totally have a Jeep Wrangler or CJ7. I always thought Hummers looked too wide.

I knew a guy in highschool with a '86 F150, 2WD, stock ride height. He'd go off-roading and challenge all the off-roaders to races, and he almost always won. 2WD can offroad real well, you just have to know how to drive and keep moving. when most people around here say they're going off-roading, they mean they're gonna drive around in a mud pit for a while, which is a lot different.
