First day I ever visited Florida, I was in a Hurricane on the Gulf coast near St. Pete. Must've been '95 or '96, my dad lived right on the beach.

Well, hurricane report from me...

... I was lucky that Charley actually went a bit further north than we thought it would, so my area didn't get hit pretty bad. Just some gusty winds and a lot of rain, and that's about it. Power and cable never went out, but both flickered a few times.

I hope Lemming made it through ok, IIRC, he's a bit further north than me, and might have been hit a little harder.

Virtually no damage in this area. The gulf coast took a pretty good hit, but the storm had lost a lot of energy by the time it got here.

Ya I was talking with my best friend, who lives in Winter Park, and thats what he said was they kind of lucked out.
