I had never heard about this show until today... but my mom bought the complete first season on DVD, and I watched a few episodes...it's so freaking funny. Basically, the main character (who's name IS "Sledge Hammer") is a detective who is a violence and gun nut, and always uses unnecessary force, and is really politically incorrect.

In the middle of the hurricane, there wasn't much to do, so I went through almost all of the 1st season episodes of this (my sister's Orlando apartment never lost power)... and I must say, I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW. I hope they put season 2 on DVD. (never seen an episode from season 2, but I want to)
