Somehow, I think most of the people who bought F40s did so with an understanding that they weren't buying a luxury car, but rather a barely street-legal race vehicle. |

#4, that is really expensive.
ed: and it is a "barely street legal race car" then how fast is it, and how good is its handling?

Something 12 years newer with more displacement is actually better than a 1992 Ferrari F40?? *gasp* |

#10, God forbid. Especially considering that they started making the F40s when, 1987?
Sure, there's some price that people pay for exclusivity and the name. I still maintain, that the majority of people who buy Ferraris are really not all that concerned with the nature of the interior appointments, especially considering that they are typically Spartan at best. |

#9, have you ever heard the phrase "it's better to say nohing and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"?
learn it, live it, love it.
BTW top gear had the carerra gt first, the mclaren slr second and the ford gt 3rd in their lap times |

I love the Ford GT, but I wouldn't turn down any of the others if they were offered (read: given) to me. :)

#16, *ding* yeah, I admit a weakness for Porsches... always liked 'em and toyed with the idea a few years ago of getting a '68 911 (or 912???) - it was only $7k and was burgundy... one of my fav colors. Ferraris always seemed ultra-expensive for what ya get - and also the repair/cost factor is high - but hey, if you're bloody rich - why not?!?!?! |
