The response from this publicity stunt is more than Pontiac ever could have hoped for. And I say, all the power to them. Plus, it's not every day you see over 250 people get a free new car at once...

It was only by invite though. Their friends sent emails saying how these people needed new cars and blah blah blah.

#3, Actually, only 11 people were there because they were having problems finding a car on their small budget (and their friend had emailed)... the rest of the audience was there as a normal audience...they were just lucky to be there on that day.

It's like the audience for Oprah's yearly "My Favorite Things" show...you never know when they're gonna be taping it, but, it you're in the audience that day, you'll walk out with more than $1000 of cool crap.

Yes, I do watch Oprah ever so often. Deal with it.

blah bla, all the papers say "oprah gives away 276 cars to the audience", yeah thats great except the cars were donated and she didnt pay for them out of pocket...which would be a true showing of generosity, im sure she can afford them easily

Actualy, a lot of the people couldn't take the cars, the poor people on a budget they were purchased for coudln't come up with the cash to pay the taxes, titles or get insurance.......
